Summary:

Ascendant is a Premiere IBM Business consulting partner focused on delivering high value portal and e-business application/ solutions using IBM software.  We are looking for a consultative sales leader who can effectively manage a rapidly growing and established sales territory and understands the importance of consultative selling.

A sales position at Ascendant Technology is a leadership position.  This job is for a senior sales executive with experience in selling complex business solutions, which includes consulting services and software.  This ideal candidate will have both marketplace / industry knowledge and IBM specific technology background.

Skills Required:

Required Skills
-Must have 6 or more Years of experience in a customer facing role, selling software and consulting services
-Experience and proven sales track record for selling services and software

Desired Skills
-Experience with IBM Software Technologies
-Experience with Packaged Applications and Consultative Services strongly desired
-Services Sales Background (i.e. Accenture, EDS, Perot, Sapient, etc.)

Education:

Bachelors Degree

Responsibilities:

• Attain a services quota that will be approximately €1.5 million
• Attain a software quota (IBM software resell) of €1.5 million
• Manage and grow the existing services account base in the region
• Engage directly with prospects, customers and IBM field sales teams to sell and fulfill IBM software with Ascendant Services.
• Work with the Ascendant Delivery teams to create SOWs and client projects
• Perform all sales related functions and activities including but not limited to, participation in marketing events, phone calls and other related prospecting events.
• Represent Ascendant Technology’s capabilities to deliver services and resell software to IBM Software group executives, field sales teams and Lab Services employees.
• Promote Ascendant’s solutions actively to prospects, customers, investors, partners, press, analysts, etc
• Participate in key recruiting activities for new employees in consulting roles at Ascendant.
• Maintain relevant and accurate solution knowledge for Ascendant’s offerings.
